Karil's crossbow is also great because you often you don't need to bother with wearing Ava's Accumulator because often the +4 range bonus isn't enough to warrant bring an extra item switch at G.Guardians and Demonics. Also good for ranging wyrms and is much better than killing them with a D scimmy. Can even wear MA2 for extra magic defence.. Vivian
I only use prayer on Dharok, Karil, and Ahrim and I kill them in that order at the start. The other three I tank. I take off my plate body and legs when I mage dharok and Karil for higher mage accuracy, then bring a range gear switch for Ahrim. Now, arma is wayyy to expansive for me, so I looked up Karil's. The offensive stats on it are the same as dhide. Melee def stats are worse. Does not degrade. Armadyl Helm is 1.6m, not an exorbitant amount. It has +3 ranged attack bonus over Karil's.All the advice I see is Elite void with a dragon crossbow (I can't afford a better crossbow) but, when I run it all through a dps calculator, they say that using Karil's with a blowpipe and adamant darts is better dps than Elite Void with a dragon crossbow and ruby bolts (e). Really though you should reconsider your gear, Mage: all melee brothers, karil. Range: ahrim. Spec: ahrim (even msb (i) spec, or dds, but ideally claws) Melee: skeletons, bloodworms for kc. Or if you’re BPing you can get kc with bp and not bring melee gear at all..
